Course Title: Qur’ān Recitation – Level 2

Course Description:

Objective: Students will understand the three short vowels in Arabic and pronounce every letter with Fatḥa, Kasra, and Ḍamma. Students will learn how to join two and three Arabic letters, recognize their changed shapes, and read them smoothly. The course progresses to the concept of Sukoon (the silent vowel) and advanced four-to-five letter words found in the Qur’an.

Course Content

Lesson 1: Introduction to Basic Vowels (Fatḥa, Kasra, Ḍamma)
Students will understand the three short vowels in Arabic and pronounce every letter with Fatḥa, Kasra, and Ḍamma.

Lesson 2: Two Joined Letters
Students will learn how to join two Arabic letters, recognize their changed shapes, and read them smoothly with short vowels.

Lesson 3: Three Joined Letters
Students will learn to read three joined letters smoothly, letter by letter, vowel by vowel, forming simple Qur’anic words

Lesson 4: Introduction to the Sukoon (ـْ)
Students will understand the Sukoon (ـْ), how it behaves inside a word, and how to read two-letter combinations where the second letter is silent.

Lesson 5: Four-Letter Words with Sukoon
In this lesson, you will learn how to read four-letter Arabic words that include a Sukoon (ـْ). This builds directly on what you learned in Lessons 3 and 4.

Lesson 6: Mixed Vowel & Sukoon Practice
Distinguishing between basic vowels (a, i, u) and Sukoon (ـْ) in 2-letter and 3-letter combinations.

Lesson 7: Advanced Joined Words
Reading long multi-letter words using all learned rules (Fatha, Kasrah, Dhammah, Sukoon)
